September 23, 2013 in Inspiration
It’s that time of year again…time to make all-things Halloween! From home decor to cute costumes, we’ve got you covered. Here are a few resources to get you going on your Halloween projects:
Baby Lock has once again published a FREE e-book that offers 8 spooktacular home decor projects. Learn more about Baby Lock’s Halloween E-Book here.
When sewing for Halloween, there are a few tips and tricks we want you to keep in mind:
- Make sure you have basic sewing supplies on hand and ready to go.
- Rotary cutters save time and energy when it comes to cutting out your project.
- If you plan on working with fabrics like velvet, leather, or vinyl, you may need special feet for your sewing machine.
There are a ton of super cute Halloween-themed embroidery and applique designs available. Here are some of my favorites:
First up, we have Spooky and Bright Design Collection from Amazing Designs. Each design in the collection includes spaces for either fabric lights or rhinestones, so they are all super sparkly! You know I love some sparkle 🙂
Next, I want to show you this fun design from Urban Threads. I love Urban Threads for funky and modern embroidery designs! Seriously, search their Halloween designs because I’m sure you’ll find at lease one (or five) designs you’ll want in your collection.
Lastly, how cute is this design from Planet Applique!? I can just picture my 4-year-old niece wearing a shirt to preschool with this appliqued on it. Again, just take a look through their Halloween applique designs. They are perfect add-ons to projects for your little ones. Plus, designs start at $1 each. Can’t beat that!
