Here Comes the Bride…Wearing What?

June 23, 2011 in Style

As June comes to an end, the season of weddings is well underway.  Brides from around the world are always trying to incorporate their style into one of the most important days of their life, their wedding day.  While some Brides enjoy the very traditional wedding others think outside the bakery box into a world of dresses I never knew existed.  I had so much fun putting together the photos of the prom dresses, I thought wedding dresses might me fun.  I was right!!  Wedding gowns have been made out of everything from trash to treasures over the years, here is a small sampling that I found interesting.

The Wedding Dress made from Toilet Paper -

Checkered Cake Dress, Lukka Sigurdardottir -

Gowns are made out of sugar-glazed rose petals and champagne cloth. Juan Manuel Barrientos -

A Mixture of Frailties 2004 (dress made from 1400 household gloves),  Susie MacMurray  -

$1.5m wedding dress made up of 2009 peacock feathers -

Congratulations to all the 2011 Brides and Brides to Be, whether you are traditional or trend setting, I hope your day was/is wonderful!
