Skirting the Issue 2015

July 6, 2015 in Projects

Have you heard of Skirting the Issue? It’s an amazing initiative that was started by liZ and Elizabeth from Simple Simon & Co. Skirting the Issue is a month-long event that encourages all sewers and wannabe sewers to make skirts to donate to girls in foster care, so they have a cute, made-just-for-them skirt to wear on the first day of school.

As makers, we sew to bring joy and love to the recipient of our creations, and Skirting the Issue is the perfect opportunity to do just that! The ladies at Simple Simon have rounded up a ton of awesome bloggers to share skirt tutorials to get you inspired, and there may be a giveaway going on, too! 🙂

Keep reading for a few skirt tutorials and a fun printable that’s a handy measurement reference guide!
