Three Fun and Easy Projects

July 10, 2012 in Projects

As I was perusing the interwebz, I came across three projects that I am officially putting on my to-do list. These easy projects are fun, simple, and perfect for an evening or weekend project.

1. Pillowcase Nightgown

This modified pillowcase dress from Bridget of Everyday Chaos is made with knit and can easily be adjusted to fit any size. I love the versatility of this because it can be worn as a nightgown or swimsuit cover-up depending on which fabric is used.  Find the in-depth tutorial here.

2. Scrap Busting Homemade Postcards

I love sending and giving homemade cards and postcards, so I was immediately drawn to this project from Heather of The Sewing Loft. Featured in the Skip to My Lou Craft Camp, these postcards are quick and easy enough to make a set for a friend as a gift or a set for yourself in no time at all. Find project instructions here.

3. Ruffle Curtain/Headboard

I L.O.V.E. ruffles. If it was socially acceptable, I would slap a ruffle or two on ANYTHING. You can find the ruffle curtain pictured to the left at Urban Outfitters for $79. Lucky for me and my budget, I came across a tutorial for ruffle curtains that costs WAY less, $71 less to be exact. Check out the project from a boy, a girl and a pug right here.
