March has been quite the ”baby boom!” The software, Monogram Works, has been great on my Ellure Plus and great for making baby gifts. I’m having a great time with the embroidery and learning a lot of new things:)

I dropped a needle down into my machine when I was changing needles. Only after I dissected the machine and fished the needle out with tweezers did I hear of a tip to keep this from happening–place a index card or piece of paper under the needle while you are changing needles to cover the hole. I will definitely be doing that next time!

Very excited to have found an exclusive Baby Lock retailer close to home in Milwaukee! They were so helpful and knowledgeable. I bought some new thread and many questions were answered. I see a lot more visits in the future for all my sewing and embroidery needs!

Just found really cute ribbons at Costco. Ten spools for $9.99 (10 yards each). Really good variety of colors, thicknesses, rick rack, etc. And the box they come in works as a dispenser so they don’t come unrolled!

My one year old just ran off with a roll of stabilizer. . . . . I chased as it unrolled. Like cleaning up toilet paper! Glad I have such good helpers while I embroider

What are you having trouble with? I found the preloaded fonts and designs to work well, but am having difficulty with fonts I purchase.

We had a great Christmas with many embroidered gifts! The Ellure Plus traveled to St. Louis and was put to use for last minute gifts. We are excited to have a new bag on wheels for all of our supplies! Many projects lined up to start 2012…Happy New Year!
