Hey everyone! Not really sure where to post this question but I want to make an ironing table (b/c my 12″x18″ table top board is just not cutting it and I don’t have floor space for a bigger board. I’m thinking a 47″x 25″ table. It will fit nicely in the nook of my sewing room. Anyone ever done this? I’m thinking 3/8″ plywood,…[Read more]

My husband is making me a cutting table that is 48″x24″….similar to your size. We are using Baltic Birch Plywood (has a much smoother finish) and is plywood on the inside and Baltic Birch on the outside. It’s very nice wood. Will have a shelf with cubby holes underneath too! We are mounting an OLFA mat on about 2/3 of it (24×18). It will be…[Read more]

Hi Whitney, Thinsulate is a product trademarked by 3M. It is their brand of insulated fabric material which is often used to line jackets, gloves and hats to keep moisture out. You can buy insulated fabric material for sewing at your local fabric shop and make some over-boot socks in no time! Here is an example you can go off of of how to do it!
